I keep trying to do my minecraft updates when I'm at work, and it... hasn't been working LMAO. I can write it up just fine, but then when I go to insert pictures I don't have them because they're on my home computer, and then I just... don't get that set up when I'm at home because I want to do other things oTL.

There's also been a big problem with work being so busy this month like why.

This Week in Himawari || Week 3

Following up on last weeks momentum of getting some of the early late game items I actually started building the mid game farms, lol. Please ignore the fact that I love doing things out of order. Mid game: wax farm, late game: netherite

To be fair, I think I was also putting off building things, because I was struggling with ideas. Although, I did build the smallest tiniest little shrine where I waited for my tadpoles to grow into frogs in a cold biome.

I did make a mistake in getting to the nether roof lol. I'm still trying to get used to the new F3 screen, and it doesn't show the targeted block coordinates very easily, but it was fine. I had enough obsidian and tnt to make it work.

I needed to get up on the nether roof to make a hoglin farm and a froglight farm much more easily than beneath the nether roof. The hoglin farm was built from a tutorial on youtube. The froglight farm, though, is something I cobbled together pretty easily since all you need to do is break the magma cubes to the smallest cube form, and then the frogs take care of magma cubes. I just have a hopper minecart pick it up. Oh, and I also use the same Y-levels that the hoglin farm uses to spawn in the magma cubes.

In the overworld I made the wax farm and iron farm! The wax farm came from this tutorial by pixlriffs, and the iron farm came from a tutorial by wattles. I still need to make buildings around them. I've just been struggling a bit to make unique buildings for them. I'm thinking a light house for the iron farm? I can't really find anything that really fits the area.

Yeah, I really do find getting the items together to build farms a bit easier than making buildings LMAO. But I love buildings and I love the idea of having a little town, so I'm going to work hard on it.

Marvel Rivals Rank Update Season 4.5

I got to diamond by mostly solo-ing! To be fair, my solo queue account is at like platinum ii, and this account was at plat i, and I played the last few games I needed to get into diamond by myself, so I think it could be said that I can get to diamond, even if it is at the end of the season haha. And I'm also not playing any further to make sure I get the rank goodies.

My friend and I were really wanting to get to GM because the season medal shows the peach, and it's... it looks like a little butt. It's so cute lol, but unfortunately we just weren't in the mental to be able to grind it out.

I think next season I want to get more into comms, but my voice sounds SO cute girly that even though I'm well past my 20s I still get people at my job judging my age based on my voice.

This Week in Himawari || Week 2

This week has been a bit odd when it comes to Minecraft. Mainly because I've been really focused on Marvel Rivals rather than Minecraft, lol. I don't think I played Minecraft until Thursday other than maybe for like a minute or two? Nothing like builds, projects, or exploration. Like, I worked in creative to get an idea for how the nether hub tunnels would look.

Then this weekend I locked in, and worked on a moss farm, getting netherite, and today I went to an ancient city.

Moss farm is completed, and I got everything but the ceiling of the moss farm complete, although I need to make a building that's in front of the farm. I made the farm across the river that's closest to the meadow biome since I'm wanting to make some flower farms up in the meadow, but I do also have a flower forest where I'll be making flower farms, too, since that's the only place I can get tulips. Either way, it's closer to where like, I should be building farmland and flower fields.

I feel like everything is getting so spread out, which I both want, but also I really want to build up a town area. I need to focus on what the central part of the town will look like especially since I have a fountain marking it. OH, and the next thing I need to work on is mason villagers because I'm going to need a lot of quartz for my nether hub tunnels.

I also have this idea for how i want the stronghold to look like, kind of. Just a vague impression. I saw this art by paddysol and got super inspired by the archways that I'm now trying to find all sorts of places to put them.

And then, of course, the eleventh season of hermitcraft, which I watched most of that while I was mining for netherack, which is the worst netherack mining I've had in any world. I usually just like to mine for ancient debris with my pickaxe and it goes just fine but I kept running into so many lava caves? The bottom of lava lakes. I didn't realize that my area in the nether had such a large lava ocean because I've been able to walk to most locations in the nether, or I would be pillaring out to get to a specific location through nether hub, which I'm not surprised when that has me pillaring out over a lava lake.

I recently updated my map to show the changes I made in the area, and I was a little disappointed to see not much had changed. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not a minecraft youtuber whose job it is to play minecraft, and I can only reasonably be expected to do 1/10 of what they can get done in the same timeframe.

It's still disappointing.

But I think that's also why I wasn't playing as much this past week. Next week I want to try getting more buildings up, and maybe start working on a concrete idea for how the main square is going to look.

I need to get a wool farm going, and start working on other animal farms. And the docks!!! There's so much I want to do.

More Pictures! )
